Abstract: With the reformation of the political power system, the power space governance has become an important part of China's social development and reform. "Power" is an important topic in the western human geography research, "power" and "power space" has accumulated a wealth of theoretical and practical results. It's of great significance for the study of social transformation in China to understanding and summarizing the research on the space of power and power in the West. On the basis of elaborating on the connotation and characteristics of power, this paper combs the western society 's perspective on the theory of power space and summarizes the core theme of power space：① material space of power imagination, ② the construction and reconstruction of power space, ③ power space and discourse, identity and political relations, ④ special groups of power space. Finally, the author compares the differences in the study of power space between China and the West, hoping to provide reference and inspiration for China.
