Abstract: With the increase of world energy trade, the security issue of energy transport access is becoming increasingly prominent. South America ought to be the expansion region of China’s energy source. Fighting for oil and insuring oil’s security have always been each country’s importance of politics and economics as well as military, while energy transport access has more strategic value whose importance is not less favorable than energy storage center. South pacific is the important route for China to import energy from South America. With the increase of China’s importing energy from South America, South Pacific marine access will become China’s important energy transport access in the future. However, south pacific marine strategic access is not only facing many realistic threats but also enslaved to various kinds of uncertain factors. Only closely seizing global energy chessboard can the vein of marine strategic access be clarified and our energetic interest be safeguarded. Maintaining the security of marine strategic access should be risen to the height of national grand security, which is planning the solutions from domestic and international level.
