An interpretation of the Ukrainian Crisis based on inter-subjectivity
    2019, 28(2): 68-77.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1405KB) ( )
Since the end of the Cold War, Europe, the United States and Russia have not really increased their trust and doubt. To prevent "authoritarian" Russia becoming the "Eurasian Empire" controlling Eurasia once again, Europe and the United States are badly in need of finding a strategic pivot in Eastern Europe that will effectively contain Russia. Ukraine is the best option. For Russia, Ukraine is its frontier post and strategic buffer against Europe and the United States. This paper first briefly introduces the connotation, characteristics and existence of the philosophy of inter-subjectivity, systematically combs the history of the crisis in Ukraine, and finds out the inter-subjectivity implied in it. Secondly, explore the root causes of the crisis in Ukraine from the perspective of inter-subjectivity, and analyse the Ukrainian crisis in 2013 from the substantive, social, historical and practical property of the inter-subjectivity. Finally, it is concluded that the crisis in Ukraine is the inevitable result of the geopolitical security game in Ukraine between Europe, the United States and Russia. Only if Ukraine exists as an independent nation, the crisis in Ukraine will reappear in the future. At last, according to the enlightenment of the crisis in Ukraine, it will put forward geo-strategic suggestions to China which is on the rise of a great power to solve its surrounding geopolitical events such as the North Korean nuclear crisis and the South China Sea conflict.

A Historical Investigation of the Impact of Pacific Island Countries on Australia's Geo-strategy
    2019, 28(2): 141-148.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (747KB) ( )
The history when Australia’s geostrategy was influenced by Pacific island countries was divided by World War II into three stages. Before World War II, there was a lack of geo-strategy since Australia ignored the surrounding geo-environment, attached its national security to the distant British Empire, neglected the defensive barriers of neighboring islands, and inflicted wars on the country itself. The period of World War II was a stage of geo-strategic construction. With the establishment of the Australia-US wartime alliance, the air and sea routes in the Pacific Ocean became Australia’s “lifeline,” and Australia’s independent defense awareness was also continuously strengthened. Australia intended to include Pacific Island countries to its sphere of influence through the “Australian-New Zealand Agreement 1944”. After World War II, it was a period of enriched geopolitical strategy. In the context of increasingly prominent development issues in the Pacific island countries and the increasingly complex security situation in the island region, Australia has implemented assistant strategies to promote regional prosperity and stability. In the future, Australia will continue to maintain its position as the largest aid country in the region.

The Global Expansion of Chinese Law Firms and Changing Spatial Structure of Their Global Networks
    2019, 28(2): 149-159.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1281KB) ( )
The global operation of advanced producer services is crucial to the globalization of national and world economy. This important role makes the spatial distribution of advanced producer service firms an important proxy for the research of the world city network. Current research of this kind mainly focuses on the global spatial patterns of Anglo-American leading producer service firms, especially financial firms, and their contribution to the formation of the world city network. The effects of the rising and globalizing producer service sectors in emerging economies like China are generally undervalued. Based on the changing global distribution of Chinese law firms, and adopts the method of interlocking network analysis, this paper inquires the evolution of the spatial pattern of the global expansion of Chinese law firms and the structure of the their global network. It is revealed that: 1) Chinese law firms expand fast worldwide in recent five years. During their early global expansion, Chinese law firms exclusively chose the three main regions of West Europe, North America, and Pacific Asia. With these three regions as main base, they then expand to broader regions around the world. Chinese law firms not only choose financial centers, but also global political centers in their global location choice. 2) The world city network interconnected by Chinese law firms developed on the basis of bone-network consisted by key city nodes both in China and abroad. With the spatial expansion of the network, the globalization level of the city network also increases greatly. 3) The global expansion of Chinese law firms have shed great effect on the global connection of cities in North America, West Europe, Africa, Middle East, and East Europe, while the pacific Asia, which is spatially close to China is relatively with lower global connection. This is unique for some certain comparing with existing research.

Cultural-Strategy-Led Spatial Development of Performing Space in Shanghai
    2019, 28(2): 160-169.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1837KB) ( )
Abstract: In post-industrialized era, cultural resources have become more and more important for governments to guide urban renewal and transformation. Shanghai has also been actively using various cultural resources to shape a cultural metropolis. Reviewing the cultural strategies of Shanghai, this paper analyzes five main development patterns of performing venues in Shanghai, and tries to find out spatial effects of cultural strategies on reshaping of performing venues. In the process of building an international cultural metropolis in Shanghai, the spatial distribution pattern of the venues is becoming increasingly shaped, at the same time, The effect of this cultural symbol also has significant spatial effect, mainly including making performing venues into leading places for global cultural consumption, forming cultural cluster district of performing arts and expanding the space for performance. Shaping and upgrading the art and culture space has become a necessary way for Shanghai to speed up the construction of an international cultural metropolis.

Study on Macao residents' support intention towards independent visitor scheme :The moderating role of local attachment
    2019, 28(2): 179-190.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1018KB) ( )
Residents' attitudes are the key factors that affect the sustainable development of tourism. With the aid of the standard learning level theory of attitude ABC model, the structural equation model is used to study the formation mechanism of Macao residents' support intention towards independent visitor scheme and to verify the regulatory role of place attachment. The results show that Macao residents' support intention towards independent visitor scheme is mainly affected by positive influence perception and positive emotion, residents' perception of the economic and social effect of the independent visitor scheme can stimulate the residents' sense of satisfaction with the development of tourism and inhibit the disgust of independent visitor, and the social cost perception can stimulate residents' sense of disgust for independent visitor, residents' satisfaction has a significant positive effect on their supportive behavior intention, and place attachment plays a part of regulatory role in the process of Macao residents' attitude formation. According to the research conclusion, put forward some management measures to enhance the residents' support intention to independent visitor scheme.

Spatial distribution and influence factors of comprehensive tourism demonstration areas
    2019, 28(2): 201-208.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1081KB) ( )
Abstract:This research took 500 comprehensive tourism demonstration areas as the samples, and study the Spatial distribution and influence factors by means of the GIS spatial analysis and mathematical statistics. The results showed that comprehensive tourism demonstration areas presents an unevenly-aggregated distribution pattern. It is dense in the east and central regions and sparsely in the west. It has formed five high-density core regions including Jiangsu, Hainan, Henan, Hunan-Jiangxi, Hubei, Sichuan, and Sichuan. Judging from the spatial distribution of provinces, the provinces of Hunan, Sichuan, Henan, and Jiangsu have the largest number of distributions, and the scale of the provinces differs significantly, there are three “highlands” including Hainan, Jiangsu, and Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. Then we explored the influence factors of comprehensive tourism demonstration areas, the distribution is mainly influenced by tourism resources, the level of tourism development, traffic conditions and policy factors.

Spatial and Temporal Evolution of Tibetan Buddhist Temples in Qinghai Province
    2019, 28(2): 209-216.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1195KB) ( )
Based on the data of Tibetan Buddhist temples in Qinghai Province, taking the county (city) as the basic research unit, this paper analyzes the temporal and spatial evolution of the main Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Qinghai Province by using the mathematical statistics method and spatial analysis method. There is revealing the evolution of Tibetan Buddhism in Qinghai Province. The results show that it has stage characteristics, which can be divided into four stages from the Tibetan Buddhist temples development time. The Song and Yuan Dynasty is the embryonic stage, Ming is the initial stage of development, Qing is a rapid development stage, the Modern (deadline 1995) is a stable development stage. In terms of spatial distribution, there are "dual-core aggregation" spatial distribution that respectively densities centered on Yushu and Huilong. From the changing trend, Tibetan Buddhism temples distribution in the Ming and Qing Dynasties trend continues to strengthen. The east is more than the west. The center of gravity moves to the northeast. From the spatial autocorrelation, the spatial distribution of Tibetan Buddhist temples have obvious regional differentiation rules. The global and local autocorrelation characteristics are significant. In the evolutionary trend of the spatial autocorrelation of temples, the "diffuse regions" is gradually expanded and presented a relatively independent "group-like" distribution. And the "laggard regions " is continuous blockbuster "block" distribution.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (1348KB) ( )
This paper is based on the basic theory of religious geography. This thesis studies 925 “religious landscapes”whose basic geographic information such as coordinate is determined through Google Earth and Baidu Map. Arcgis 10.3 space analysis and hydrology analysis are applied to make visible effect and conduct quantitative analysis of the distribution of Shanxi province’s religious landscape and its corresponding causing factors. Study shows that Shanxi province’s religious landscape distribution remains a centralized pattern with distinguished space disparity, making it a “scattered in large area, centralized in small area”. In terms of space distribution, religious landscape is centralized on high elevation areas, and 46 % of the religious landscape elevation is about 1000m; Religious landscape is characterized by gradual decrease from center to periphery with a tendency of city distribution; According to the influence factors of the religious landscape pattern, the distribution is controlled by the overall topography; The elevation affects the degree of religious agglomeration and dispersion; A long history and cultural heritage is also a factor that can not be ignored; Population distribution affects the number of religious landscapes.
