Spatiotemporal variation and spatial convergence of marine fisheries industrial agglomeration development: Empirical evidence from national-level sea ranch demonstration areas

海洋渔业产业集聚发展的时空分异及空间收敛性分析——以国家级海洋牧场示范区为例

Abstract:

Sea ranches are an emerging development mode of marine fisheries industry, an important means of conserving marine living resources, and an effective measure for optimizing the industrial layout of marine fisheries industry. Based on the big data of enterprises' location related to the marine fisheries industry, this paper applies the kernel density estimation method to measure the development level of marine fisheries industry in 67 districts/counties participating in the construction of the national-level sea ranch demonstration areas from 2008 to 2023, analyzes the spatiotemporal differentiation pattern and evolution characteristics of marine fisheries industry and its subsectors, and examines its spatial convergence using the β convergence model. The results show that: ① The marine fisheries industry presents the spatial pattern of multi-core agglomeration, and the aggregation hotspots of marine fisheries subsectors gradually increase over time. ② There are absolute and conditional β convergence characteristics in the three major ocean economic zones, among which the eastern ocean economic zone has the fastest convergence speed. ③ All the marine fisheries subsectors have absolute and conditional β convergence characteristics. The convergence speed of seafood processing subsector is much faster than those of mariculture and seafood wholesale & retail subsectors. ④ The establishment of national-level sea ranch demonstration areas has a significant positive effect on the agglomeration of marine fisheries industry. Accordingly, this paper will provide theoretical basis and practical reference for the development of marine fishery industry and the construction of "blue granary".

摘要:

海洋牧场是一种新兴的海洋渔业发展模式,既是沿海地区养护海洋生物资源的重要手段,也是优化海洋渔业产业布局的有效举措。本文基于国家级海洋牧场示范区域内相关海洋渔业企业大数据,采用核密度估计方法测算了2008—2023年参与国家级海洋牧场示范区建设的67个区县的海洋渔业发展水平,分析了海洋渔业及其细分产业的时空分异格局及演化特征,并使用β收敛模型考察其空间收敛性。研究发现:①海洋渔业产业的聚集热点呈现出“多核心集聚”的空间格局,渔业各细分产业的集聚程度随时间逐渐增强。②三大海洋经济圈的海洋渔业产业存在绝对与条件β收敛特征,其中东部海洋经济圈的收敛速度最快。③海洋渔业各细分产业均存在绝对与条件β收敛特征,海产加工业的收敛速度远超海水养殖业与海产批发零售业。④国家级海洋牧场示范区的建立对海洋渔业产业的集聚发展具有显著正向影响。基于此,本研究将为发展海洋渔业产业和建设“蓝色粮仓”提供理论依据和实践参考。
