Guoping LI, Yi YANG, Zhen XU, Tao LI
    2020, 29(6): 1091-1101.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2020119
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1049KB) ( )

The outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia has spread widely and infected a large number of people, which is listed in "Public Health Emergency of International Concern" by World Health Organization. By selecting SARS in China in 2003, influenza A (H1N1) in Mexico in 2009, MERS in South Korea in 2015 and the global novel coronavirus pneumonia in 2020 at present as typical cases, we conducts a comparative study on the economic impact of major global outbreaks and their responses. We hope to provide references for all countries to formulate response policies to mitigate the economic impact of this outbreak. The economies of China, Mexico, South Korea and America have been severely affected by the outbreak. Accordingly, the governments of all countries have responded positively and taken sorts of measures to mitigate the short-term economic impact of the outbreak. First, they fully supported economic recovery by setting up special funds and increasing the budget. Second, in order to reduce the operating burden of enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, they provided enterprises with operating subsidies and tax payment delay. The third was to boost tourism and business development through electric business platform, urban publicity and simplifying visa procedures. In conclusion, in order to cope with the economic impact of novel coronavirus pneumonia, all the countries should coordinate epidemic prevention and economic development. In order to restore normal world economic order as soon as possible, we put forward suggestions on reducing fees and taxes, reducing the burden of enterprises, and supporting the tertiary industry.

The rank-size distribution and influencing factors of foreign trade in China's border from 2000 to 2017
Xin YANG, Fei PENG, Qiqi ZHANG, Wei HU
    2020, 29(6): 1102-1112.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019104
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1196KB) ( )

In the context of globalization, foreign trade activities are important manifestation of the strength of outward linkages in specific regions. Using the rank-size distribution, fractal theory and kernel density method, the paper analyzes the scale distribution characteristics and influencing factors of foreign trade in China's border areas with the import and export trade volume of China's border cities as the main indicators. The results show: 1) The foreign trade rank-size distribution characteristics of the Chinese borders at different stages are obvious, but the order of the cities within the order structure is extremely different. 2) There is a significant change in the non-scale areas of the rank-size distribution. In the 18 years, there are four segments of fractal performance, the scale fluctuation and regionalization of foreign trade activities are obvious. 3) The influencing factors include: a) characterized by the obvious dominance effect of large cities under the constraints of economic geography, b) adjacent geoenvironment has significant influence, c) Policy orientation and port promotion, d) internal competition forced the spatial structure to coordinate evolution. 4) Unbalance and agglomeration are highlighted in foreign trade activities in China's border areas, and spatial distribution appears as a "core-edge" structure. At present, the national level should focus on supporting foreign trade superior cities, and the provincial-level coordination of urban foreign trade level organization and interval linkage.

A critical analysis on spatial evolution of liberal democracy pattern in Afro-Eurasia
Hongchuan MA, Dugang XI, Jianzhong LIU, Jing ZHANG, Ziyue DING
    2020, 29(6): 1113-1124.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019174
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1046KB) ( )

Liberal democracy as the ideology of Western exporting wantonly to seek world hegemony, it is of great importance to analyze profoundly liberal democracy conditions of Afro-Eurasia for revealing the true purpose of the export of Western democracy. On the basis of analyzing the relationship between the essence of liberal democratic logic, we explored the spatial evolution characteristics in Afro-Eurasia. In addition, we also built the factor system to discover the "free" ratings pattern spatial evolution impact mechanism under different scales. Some conclusions can be drawn as follows: (1) The number of "free" country increases markedly, whose spatial distribution diffused from Southern, Western and Northern Europe, Southern and Northeast Asia to Eastern and Central Europe, Southern Africa; The number of "partly free" country increases obviously, whose spatial distribution is Southern and Southeast Asia, Eastern, Western and Southern Africa; The number of "not free" country declines slightly, whose spatial distribution shifts from Eastern Europe, most part of Asia and Africa to most part of Asia and Africa. (2) The Standard Deviation of "free" ratings in Afro-Eurasia increases, but the Coefficient of Variation of "free" ratings in Afro-Eurasia declines fluctuatingly. (3) On the whole, the degree of agglomeration of countries with "free" ratings is becoming stronger in Afro—Eurasia, and the degree of agglomeration with high values shows fluctuation strong; On the local, the cold and sub-cold spots display the continuous distribution; The hot and sub—hot spots appear a "moving to east" tendency. (4) The factors including social—economy, external diffusion, culture-religion, political system and western behavior have remarkable impacts, which lead to different impact mechanism in whole and in local. (5) "Freedom House" emphasizes the Western standards and discourse power in the field of international politics, and its "free" ratings has a strong ideological attribute and strategic intention.

Analysis of the spatio-temporal distribution of Foreign Direct Investment in Africa and its influencing factors
Xian WANG, Binglin LIU, Zhenke ZHANG
    2020, 29(6): 1125-1135.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019216
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1155KB) ( )

The absorption of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has a greater impact on the economic development of Africa, which is the main source of foreign development capital in Africa, and the research on the FDI of African countries has become an important topic. In order to figure out the regulation of FDI spatial and temporal evolvement and its influencing factors in five different regions in Africa, this paper firstly use the Theil index and panel data fixed effect model. At present, its most features are :1) Africa's FDI generally show a volatility trend. North Africa shows a downward trend, West Africa and Central Africa show a volatility trend. East Africa's upward trend is relatively stable, and southern Africa's trend fluctuates significantly. North Africa and West Africa have the largest FDI and there is a regional distribution pattern of "two strong and three weak" in Africa . 2) The FDI in Africa shows a slow upward trend, and the interannual changes show fluctuations of "decrease-increase-decrease"; the main factors are intra-regional differences within West Africa, Southern Africa and Central Africa. West Africa contributes the most. 3) Economic and social environmental factors have a limited impact on FDI in Africa as a whole, but some of these factors have a big influence on West Africa. The level of economic development plays a positive role in the FDI in East Africa and South Africa, plays a negative role in West Africa. The opening degree to outside has a negative impact on West Africa. The effect of aggregation on West Africa, Central Africa, and North Africa is relatively limited. The political systems have a significant effect on foreign investment in Africa as a whole, but have limited effects on North Africa and East Africa. The resource endowment is a key factor for foreign companies' choice of location in Africa, but it has little impact on North Africa and East Africa. Infrastructure generally have little impact on FDI in Africa, except southern Africa.

Influencing factors and settlement intention in cities of floating population: A case study of Anhui Province
Chengfeng YANG, Guangyan BAI, Huiran HAN
    2020, 29(6): 1136-1147.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019546
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1053KB) ( )

Systematically exploring the settlement intention of floating population in the cities is not only the premise to promote the citizenship of floating population, but also the basis for decision-making in urban management. It has become the focus of current geography and sociology. Based on the data of the dynamic monitoring survey of the floating population in China in 2015, this study uses logistic regression model to explore the general characteristics of the floating population in Anhui Province, to analyze the settlement intention of floating population in the cities and its influencing factors. The results show that: (1) The migrant population in Anhui Province is mainly inter-provincial migration. The migrant population outside Anhui Province mainly gathers in the cities of Yangtze River Delta, but the scale of migrant population has shown a downward trend year by year. Economic development level and spatial distance are the main reasons for population migration. (2) The floating population in Anhui Province has a higher settlement intention, which tends to increase with the improvement of the economic level of the inflow areas; and the first generation of the floating population is more inclined to choose cities with better economic development to settle down, while the new generation is more inclined to choose cities with moderate and weak economic development to settle down, but the overall difference is not significant. (3) According to the influencing factors of the floating population's settlement intention in cities, the impact of the number of co-residents, the reasons for the flow, the length of the flow, the level of economic development in the inflow area and the location of household registration is most significant. From the intergenerational point of view, gender, employment income, net income, employment status and other factors significantly affect the new generation of migrant population, while family follow-up, economic level of migrant areas, age has a more significant impact on the first generation of migrant population.

Research on the distribution patterns and disequilibrium degree of railway accessibility in China under the new era of high-speed railway
    Lu YU
    2020, 29(6): 1148-1160.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019312
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1544KB) ( )

Based on the common traffic accessibility index, this paper compares the traffic accessibility and its regional differences of major cities in China from 2009 to 2016. As a whole, the traffic accessibility of all major cities has been greatly improved. In terms of geographical scope, regardless of time accessibility or economic accessibility, eastern cities are higher than central and western cities. The development of high-speed rail has led to the agglomeration of economic activities to regional central cities, and the distribution of market potential presents a remarkable "center-periphery" structure with the core of regional central cities. This structure has been further strengthened with the construction of high-speed railways, and massive economic resources are concentrated in regional central cities and first-tier cities. However, the agglomeration spillover effect also exists, and this spillover effect is mainly concentrated in the neighboring areas of regional central city, expanding to the surrounding cities of medium scale or above. These phenomena show that the inter-regional transportation cost in China has only decreased to a moderate extent, which leads to the increase of regional economic agglomeration. It is still in the middle and early stages of the "inverted U curve" between the transportation cost and the regional economic disparity.

    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (997KB) ( )

Innovation-driven and green development have an inherent coordination. On the basis of sample to study 30 provinces in the area of empirical analysis of the "green + innovation" coupling coordination of time and space distribution rule on the basis of the analysis of the regional innovation capacity and energy efficiency coupling coordination mechanism, the following conclusions: (1) The regional innovation ability and the energy efficiency of the coupling rising over time, but the degree of coordination of the two long-term equilibrium increase short-term fluctuations.(2) The coupling of regional innovation capacity and energy utilization efficiency has spatial spillover effect, and the positive external effect of the Yangtze river economic belt is obvious.(3) Most regions of China are still in a state of low level coupling coordination, and the difference of coordination degree among regions is gradually narrowing.(4) The lower-level coupling coordination types in the northwest are more prone to jump changes, while the higher-level coupling coordination types in the southeast are more stable and have a clear direction. In view of the above findings, some policy development suggestions are given.

    Zuojiang ZHOU
    2020, 29(6): 1172-1180.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019317
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1193KB) ( )

This paper deeply analyzes the concept and connotation of jobs-housing balance, and puts forward two measurement methods of jobs-housing balance from the perspective of time and space. The distribution of employment and living space, commuting distance and commuting source of Zhuhai residents are analyzed by using mobile Location data, and the jobs-housing index of each planning area is calculated. The results show that: the spatial distribution of employment and residence shows a high consistency; the residents in the city are mainly short-distance commuting, with an average commuting distance of 2048m,and the commuting distance of residents in different planning zones is quite different; more than 80% of the residents in each planning zones have achieved local employment or residence. At the same time, from the natural, planning and policy aspects, this paper analyzed the influencing factors of jobs-housing balance, and put forward some suggestions on optimizing the spatial allocation of industry and population, breaking through the traffic bottlenecks between different planning zones, and rationally supporting public service facilities.

As an important force in shaping the pattern of innovative geography, the external characteristics and internal mechanisms of the spatial distribution of innovative enterprises need to be studied in depth. Firstly, we screened, classified and built spatial database for innovative enterprises in Anhui Province; Then we applied kernel density estimation and geographical detector methods as well as the aided of ArcGIS, this paper systematically discussed the spatial agglomeration patterns and agglomeration factors of innovative enterprises. The results are as follows: (1) The main types of innovative enterprises in Anhui province are those of advanced manufacturing and automation, then biology and new medicine, new material and electronic information industries also own a large scale. (2)The spatial distribution of innovative enterprises is significantly unbalanced, showing the spatial distribution characteristics of "one core, one belt and multiple nodes", and Hefei and Wuhu are two important agglomeration areas. Different types of innovative enterprises are diversified in distribution, which include four patterns, namely point-axis, polar-core, dual-core and multi-core decentralization. (3)Innovative factors mean a lot for the spatial agglomeration of innovative enterprises, while traditional factors and policy-oriented factors also really matters. Above all, industrial foundation, human capital and innovation investment are three foremost influencing factors, whereas the influencing factors of innovative enterprises in different industries show some heterogeneous characteristics.

Optimization and reorganization of tourism flow network structure ——A comparative study between during-tour and post-tour in Huangshan City
Qingyuan ZHANG, Lei LI, Lin LU
    2020, 29(6): 1213-1225.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019270
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1692KB) ( )

With the increasingly prominent characteristics of mobility in contemporary society, tourism flow has become a new development factor of tourism regional system. Tourism experience affects the spatial behavior of tourists and produce the difference between during-tour and post-tour tourism flow network structure, which provides a new research perspective for the optimization and reorganization of regional tourism flow network structure. Taking Huangshan City as a study case, this paper makes a comparative study between during-tour and post-tour tourism flow network structure by using the social network analysis method. The results show that: (1) In terms of the tourism flow network structure, there are obvious core-edge structures in both the during-tour and post-tour tourism flow networks. The scale and scope of the post-tour tourist flow networks have changed significantly, which tourists tend to group tours of the adjacent nodes in a larger space. (2) In terms of the functions of tourist flow nodes, the core nodes play an important role both in the during-tour and post-tour tourism flow networks. The functions of tourist flow nodes are improved entirely in the post-tour tourism flow network. Some nodes with distinct local cultural characteristics become the key nodes of the post-tour tourist flow network. (3) In terms of the optimization and reorganization of spatial organization, there is a general trend of the development and adjustment of regional tourism flow network structure in the future, which to further strengthen the function of tourism flow distribution of core tourism nodes within the region, and to form benign interaction and cooperation of spatial organizations in a larger space. On this basis, this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the rational optimization of the tourism network structure, which includes spatial pattern, route organization and transportation system.

    2020, 29(6): 1226-1236.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019301
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1263KB) ( )

Yunnan and Guangxi have the main land passages from China to ASEAN countries, enjoying a prominent geographical advantage in the construction of "The Belt and Road". Using data before (2013) and after (2017) the construction of "The Belt and Road" as two time sections, the tourism openness, tourism economic connection and social network connection and other indicators are calculated to measure the tourism economic connection and social network relationship between Yunnan, Guangxi and ASEAN. The results show that since the construction of "The Belt and Road", tourism openness and tourism economic linkage between Yunnan and Guangxi provinces and ASEAN countries have been greatly improved, but there is still a big gap between the two provinces and Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. In order to develop into a "radiation center oriented to ASEAN" or an "international channel oriented to ASEAN", Guangxi and other provinces need to continue to intensify their efforts to develop cross-border tourism cooperation with ASEAN countries.

    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (2047KB) ( )

Western countries have matured their research on risk, but tourism risk as a focus was gradually paid attention to by the academic circle after the 9/11 attack in 2001. There were few relevant reviews and most of them focused on tourism risk perception, and there were few achievements on the overall understanding of tourism risk research. In recent years, some studies have applied bibliometric visualization to explore the network structure of tourism discipline, but there are few achievements in the field of tourism risk and security research. Under the premise of retrospective related concepts, based on 296 papers, conference articles and reviews highly relevant to international tourism risk research in the "Web of Science Core Collection" of 2001-2018, the scientific measurement tool CiteSpace is used as a research tool for international Tourism risk research provides a visual analysis of the number of publications, journal distribution, knowledge base, and keywords. The research finds that: (1) International tourism risk research can be divided into three stages. The research areas, objects, subjects and hotspots are constantly evolving in each period. (2) The distribution of journals in the literature database indicates that the current international tourism risk research involves multiple disciplines, and the main force is tourism. Classes and medicines; (3) found 7 high-presence literatures, which can be divided into three categories: medical and infectious diseases, risk perception, and risk tolerance. It has certain value for understanding the knowledge base and its evolution relationship in the field of international tourism risk research, and can also provide reference for domestic tourism risk research and practice.

Rural research and prospect from the perspective of digital geographies
    Yingying WANG, Min WANG
    2020, 29(6): 1248-1259.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019306
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (977KB) ( )

With the gradual penetration of digital technology into the daily life world, digital technology has become the focus of geographical research, and geographical research has appeared the "digital turn". With the emergence of digital geographies research focusing on cities and the integration of rural areas into the global information and technology network, digital technology continue to penetrate into rural areas. The research on "digitization" of rural areas should be taken seriously. Digital technology affects the development of rural areas at multiple levels. This paper analyzes the impact of digital technology on rural areas under the background of digital geographies research from the perspectives of urban-rural digital divide, rural reconstruction and post-humanism. Urban and rural digital divide is the focus of rural digital technology research. Differences in information and communication technology and digital infrastructure widen the digital gap between urban and rural areas, and the digital development of rural areas is conducive to promoting urban and rural connectivity and narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas. In the process of encountering with digital technology, the countryside is increasingly transformed into a mixed space, and digital technology reconstructs the rurality and rural relationship network. In the post-human perspective, the development of digital technology has changed the meaning of the body. The body is the space of the smallest scale. The body practice under the development of digital technology can reflect the changes in the interaction between man and land in rural society, and deepen the understanding of human subject's initiative. In response to the "digital turn" of geography, the study of the relationship between digital technology and rural development from the perspective of urban and rural, rural and physical dimensions is beneficial to explore the diversified path of rural revitalization from their mutual connection, and provide new ideas for rural research and rural revitalization.

A study on the relationship between the Silk Road's heritage interpretation and the willingness to revisit
Jing WANG, Jiajia CAI, Yanni YUAN
    2020, 29(6): 1260-1271.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019318
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1188KB) ( )

In order to explore the relationship between the interpretation of the heritage sites along the World Heritage Silk Road and the willingness to revisit, the study divided the heritage interpretation into two parts: the on-site heritage interpretation and the off-site heritage communication, with the tourism experience as the mediator variable and the tourist characteristics as the adjustment variables. Construct a structural relationship model of "heritage interpretation – tourism experience–willingness to revisit". Studies have shown that: (1) Off-site heritage transmission positively affects on-site heritage interpretation. (2) The heritage interpretation needs to be able to better influence the willingness to revisit through a profound tourism experience. (3) The relationship between the interpretation of the heritage and the willingness to revisit is partly regulated by the gender and cultural level of the visitors, and the spread of off-site heritage is higher. Tourists of the cultural level play their influence on the willingness to revisit, and at the same time, they can exert their influence on the tourism experience among male tourists.

    2020, 29(6): 1272-1283.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1004-9479.2020.06.2019329
    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (1373KB) ( )

The ecological environment in poor mountainous areas is relatively fragile. In order to probe into the coupling and coordination relationship between tourism poverty alleviation and eco-environment, this article establish the framework model and evaluation index system of the coupling and coordination mechanism between tourism poverty alleviation and eco-environment, taking Liupanshui City,a concentrated area of Wumengshan Mountains in Western Guizhou Province as an example.Weight of each evaluation index is calculated by the entropy weight method and the coupling is adopted. The model of coordination degree is used to study the comprehensive development level of tourism poverty alleviation and ecological environment from 2003 to 2017, and the coupling and coordination relationship between them and the changing trend. The results are as follows. The efficiency of tourism poverty alleviation and the protection efficiency of eco-environmente make most contribute to tourism poverty alleviation system and eco-environment system respectively. The coupling coordination between tourism poverty alleviation and eco-environment in Liupanshui City has developed from "serious disharmony" type to "basic disharmony-tourism poverty alleviation lag" type, and then to "basic coordination-eco-environment lag" type.Driven by the rapid development of tourism poverty alleviation, the problem of ecological environment lag has begun to appear. Therefore, when formulating the development strategy of poverty alleviation in tourism in the future, we should emphasize the protection of ecological environment, improve the quality of ecological environment, promote the development of poverty alleviation in tourism, and realize the highly coordinated development of them.

In recent years, sex tourism has attracted wide attention in academic circles and become an important part of tourism research in foreign countries. This paper aims to summarize, evaluate and analyze the international information available on the subject from several aspects, which consists of the concept of sex tourism, sex tourists and sex workers, the impact of sex tourism, and the management of the sex tourism industry. The study reveals that research on sex tourism has been already matured significantly and has begun to form a relatively integrated system at abroad. Thus, international experiences on sex tourism should be drawn on, and international cooperation should be strengthened. International research on sex tourism has more mature theory and practical experience. Some western countries, such as England, Germany, America, and Japan, have experienced the establishment of law system, security management of sex tourism destination, management of network eroticism and sex tourism information awareness, and human right protection. China should strengthen international experience exchanges and cooperation with representative sex tourism destinations. For the academia, in order to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for sex tourism management in China, it should strengthen the research on sex tourism. In addition, appropriate research methods should be chosen, in accordance with the specific characteristics of sex tourism. Study of sex tourism is a multi-disciplinary area involving management science, social science, medicine, tourism, etc. Therefore, it requires research methods of multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary. At the same time, many activities in sex tourism are not permitted by laws, regulations and ethics, it is very difficult to obtain relevant data. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt appropriate methods, such as questionnaires, informal interviews, observation, covert ethnographic approach, and so on.

In 1990, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) proposed Human Development Index (HDI) based on a multidimensional perspective to comprehensively assess regional development levels and social progress. However, the indicator system does not address ecological considerations and therefore has limitations in measuring human development. The Ecological Input Index (EII) was used to modify the Human Development Index (HDI) from the dimension of resource consumption and pollution emissions. On this basis, it builds an Ecologically-sensitive China Regional Human Development Index (ECHDI).Combining Geoda and Arcgis software, using Spatial Exploration Technology (ESDA) to measure the spatial correlation of human development in China.Based on the Standard Deviational Ellipse (SDE), the spatial evolution trend of human development in China is discussed from the perspective of spatial distribution center, direction and range. The study shows that the spatial correlation and difference of human development in China coexist, and they are concentrated in space. There is a certain spatial locking and path dependence in the spatial distribution pattern of regional human development.

It is necessary to analyze and reveal the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of Chinese citizens' tourism safety perception events in these countries. The study collected the data of Chinese citizens' travel safety perception events in Ctrip,.Then, set up the tourist destination-tourist safety perception two-mode network. Using the SNA software, the safety space structure of tourism destinations and the measurement of centrality are analyzed. The findings are as follows :(1) The tourism safety perceived events present spatially clustering characteristics and solidification. Social environmental security perceived events account for a larger proportion than natural environmental events.(2) At the regional level, west Asia has always been the "gathering place" of tourism safety perception events, while southeast Asia has gradually become the gathering place of tourism safety perception events in recent years. At the national level, Pakistan and Russia have been the hot spots of tourism safety perception events.(3) Different tourism safety event types show some spatial heterogeneity.
