Research on the influence of digital economy development on the evolution of innovation spatial structure of urban agglomeration

数字经济发展对城市群创新空间结构演进的影响研究

Abstract:

Investigating the spatial distribution of innovation activities is of great significance for building a high-quality innovation development pattern. Based on the monocentric-polycentric perspective, using the panel data of 14 urban agglomerations in China from 2009 to 2019, this paper empirically explores the influence of digital economy development on the evolution of urban agglomeration's innovative spatial structure. It is found that: ① The development of digital economy can narrow the innovation gap between cities and promote the evolution of innovative spatial structure of urban agglomeration to polycentric mode. In terms of subdivision dimension, the development of digital finance plays the greatest role in promoting the evolution of innovative polycentric spatial structure of urban agglomeration, followed by digital innovation ability. ② The role of digital economy in promoting the innovative polycentric spatial structure of urban agglomerations gradually appeared after the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, and was further enhanced since the 19th CPC National Congress in 2017. ③ Reducing the development gap of knowledge-intensive service industry and promoting the process of market integration are two important ways for the digital economy to empower the evolution of innovative polycentric spatial structure of urban agglomerations, among which accelerating the process of market integration plays a greater intermediary role. The research conclusion provides policy reference for deepening the development of digital economy and optimizing the spatial pattern of urban agglomeration innovation.

摘要:

考察创新活动的空间分布对构建高质量创新发展格局具有重要意义。基于单中心-多中心视角,使用2009—2019年中国14个城市群的面板数据,实证探究数字经济发展对城市群创新空间结构演进的影响。结果表明:①数字经济发展能够缩小城市间的创新差距,推动城市群创新空间结构向多中心模式演进。细分维度来看,数字金融发展对城市群创新多中心空间结构演进的促进作用最大,数字创新能力次之。②数字经济对城市群创新多中心空间结构的促进作用在2012年党的十八大后逐渐显现,在2017年党的十九大以后得到进一步增强。③缩小知识密集型服务业发展差距和推进市场一体化进程是数字经济赋能城市群创新多中心空间结构演进的两条重要途径,其中加快市场一体化进程发挥的中介效应更大。研究结论为深化数字经济发展、优化城市群创新空间格局提供了政策参考。
